By upgrading your OE brake lines to a high performance brake line you can increase your pedal response and have shorter stopping distances. When upgrading, many kits also feature a PTFE inner line, which is also commonly referred to as teflon. The PTFEtube is much more resistant to expansion under pressure and will not degrade from exposure to brake fluid. This line is usually then surrounded by a high quality braided stainless steel. This type of system is extremely durable against impact, abrasion, and generally corrosion resistant.
